Information Collection Policies

 

After years of research that turned out to be, well, frankly, worthless, we do not collect any information from farm animals. We eventually learned that they aren’t creditworthy and weren't much for typing, either.

 

We also decided that we only want to collect information from folks who are old enough to actually BUY SOMETHING, which seems logical because that is the purpose of this site and because the items offered for sale are irresistible. So if you’re 18 years of age or older, you may have occasion to provide us with information. IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18, PLEASE DO NOT PROVIDE US WITH ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION, INCLUDING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS OR MAILING ADDRESS.

 

We Respect Your Privacy

 

We respect your privacy, and therefore we want to disclose to you how we may use information which you provide to us online, and give you some options to limit or restrict such use(s). Since Internet technologies and the Internet environment are rapidly changing, these guidelines are subject to change, and any such changes will be posted on this page.

 

Information automatically collected online

 

Our web server automatically recognizes the IP address (the location of your computer on the Internet) and the action of each visitor while on our site. It also takes a picture of your bedroom. (Just kidding on that last one). Such information is used in the aggregate (and not specific to you or your specific usage) to improve our site, and may be shown to others (such as potential advertisers) to “profile” aggregate site usage. Information automatically collected and specific to your usage of the site is only used for error tracking.  

 

Our web server deposits tasteless, odorless, no-fat cookies on the hard drive of your computer when it visits our site to make your visit a more enjoyable experience. We also use cookies to make sure you don't see the same ad repeatedly. The use of cookies is standard in the internet industry. Your browser probably has a feature that will refuse our cookies, or at least notify you before a cookie is placed, but utilizing this feature may interfere with your enjoyment of the site.

 

We do NOT use cookies to identify specific individuals, except when you specifically disclose such information to us. We do NOT use cookies for promotional or marketing purposes, nor is that information shared with any third party.

Information you provide to us

 

You will not be able to resist the temptation to give us information about yourself. For example, you will undoubtedly want to buy something or request information. So we may feel compelled to ask you to provide your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address, and other personally identifiable information. We also request credit card information for stuff you want to buy.  Credit card information is collected directly by Pay Pal and encrypted for security purposes and is not shared with any other firm except as necessary to process your order.

 

We will obviously use the information you give us for the specific purpose for which it was given. We will also use it to improve our site and to improve the way that we do business. If you provide email addresses to us for purposes of sending a poster or other item to a friend via our site, the email addresses are used to enable us to complete the function of sending the item and then they are deleted from our database.

 

We may also give you the opportunity to opt-in to receive Garfield-related information from Paws from time to time. Should you elect to opt-in, we may send you occasional emails on various “Garfield” matters but we will not share your email address with any third party. Information we share with others

 

Any information that you provide to us in connection with an order is provided to Pay Pal for purposes of credit card verification. Information shared with Pay Pal  for this purpose will not be shared or provided to anyone else.

As mentioned previously, credit card information goes directly to Pay Pal.

For privacy purposes, we store all customer information in a highly secure server and do not share it with anyone else except as stated above.

Except as noted in the above policies, we do not provide any of your personally identifiable information to anyone else.
